Shopify fees explained
With Shopify Payments on the Basic plan, US online card sales cost 2.9% + 30¢ (2.7% on Grow, 2.5% on Advanced). If you use a different payment provider, Shopify adds its own fee on top: 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow, 0.6% on Advanced.
Your monthly plan ($39 on Basic, less if billed yearly) is a fixed cost, not a per-sale fee. Divide it by your monthly orders and add it to “Ad spend per sale” to include it.

Does Shopify charge extra for PayPal or other gateways?
Yes. Using a provider other than Shopify Payments adds a 2% fee on Basic, 1% on Grow and 0.6% on Advanced.
